Blue Tree, the two-story boutique owned by Phoebe Cates on Madison Avenue between 91st Street and 92nd Street has been one of my favorite local spots for years so I’m very excited that they are now carrying pieces from my Upper East Side Jewelry Collection. Please stop by and check it out!
Select pieces from Rebecca Schiffman Jewelry’s Upper East Side Collection are now available at the new Fair Folks Cafe in NYC.
Me with Aurora and Anthony, founders of Fair Folks and a Goat.
Composer, arranger, and vocal coach Ben Toth was a guest on last weeks episode #307 of Bachelor Pad. Here he is attempting to teach a tone deaf contestant to sing Night Ranger’s Sister Christian. He is wearing the Flower Escutcheon Necklace from Rebecca Schiffman jewelry’s Upper East Side Collection.
I’m very excited to finally be featured in the Carnegie Hill News, the neighborhood newsletter put out by Carnegie Hill Neighbors. I’ve been reading it for years and now my time has come!
She flew in through the valve in a 6″ duct that used to be connected to a clothes dryer and that I had propped open to let in some air. I opened the door so she could fly out through the lobby but instead she flew up the stairs! So Robert, the doorman, opened a bunch of windows in the upper stairwells and she got out.
I think it was a good omen.
I took a break from playing shows this fall to focus on my jewelry line IMK Jewelry. (Wow, I’ve become the character I was playing/sort of making fun of in Alec Coiro’s musical farce Fashion Party– one of my lines was “Can’t I just focus on my handbag line for now??”) Anyhoo, I’ll be playing shows […]
Paco Rabanne‘s iconic linked dresses are (obviously) a big inspiration for me, so I was extremely pleasantly surprised when I only recently discovered that singer-songwriter Françoise Hardy was featured on the cover of Rabanne’s biography, and was a huge fan of his.
Françoise Hardy was my first, and for a long time, only female influence as a singer-songwriter. I admired her unaffected charmp and aspired to her beautiful music and lyrics. So now, having exhaustively google-image-searched her, I am in awe of her personal fashion style throughout her entire career!
Here are a ton of pictures!
I have learned a lot of new techniques and tips from the talented jewelers who work there.
On Halloween I packed up my workspace at Flux because I am setting up a new studio uptown, which I will post about soon!
Also, one day this dog Noah was there.
Wow, so far this blog seems half about jewelry, half about dogs!
Just shot the new lookbook for my jewelry line IMK. Photos by Brandon Perlman of Katie Daines and Ruby the dog! The pdf and print version was laid out by CHIPS.
